The Western New York Oldsmobile Club was honored to have Eric and Amy Dubert show their 1954 Mack Fire Truck.. Eric, Amy and their beautifully restored Mack Fire Truck deserved the Best of Show Award. It is people like Eric and Amy who are preserving American Automotive History. Thank you Eric for allowing me to ride in your Fire Truck.
1954 MACK, model : 85LS, AERIAL LADDER TRUCK
1954 Mack, 85LS
707 ci, straight 6, Gas Mack engine
5 speed, air brakes & air assisted steering
85 foot, Maxim Ladder truck body
This truck was purchased by the College Park (Maryland) Fire department in the Summer of 1954 & served that area until 1971. The Silver Creek NY fire department purchased the truck that summer, and the truck served the Silver Creek area until 1987, it was sold for scrap in the spring of 1988, I purchased the truck in the fall of that year , the truck was in storage until the spring 0f 2016, over the next few years it was stripped and restored.
